PRE-season

Training Schedule

Pre-season training will be held Indoor at Saxon Sports and our  home ground this season.

We start training at Saxon Sports in Frankston every Wednesday starting from the 5th of August. We have 4 lanes booked so there is plenty of room for everybody to train. Please wear appropriate training attire (white or training shirt, cricket shoes). 

Nets will be open Tuesday nights at the club under the lights from 25th August, and is available  for everyone, weather permitting. This is an unofficial session, just for those who want to come down and get in a hit or roll the arm over, or if you feel you need an extra session or can't make the official sessions. Will have the bowling machines running. ​

We will also be holding outdoor day sessions at the club from Saturday the 5th of September, to enable batting in daylight and fielding training.

Registration

Before playing, You will need to register online. We encourage you register early in pre-season to ensure there is no issue with insurance cover for pre-season training and practice matches. To register please find more information at the link Here

Club Rules & Policies

Please ensure that you have read and are across the club policies & senior playing rules section of the website.  Pay particular attention to the Player Code of Conduct, Cricket Victoria Member Protection Policies Women Player Directive and  Match Day check list.

Club Questionaires

The club will be issuing questionnaires over the pre-season, please take the opportunity to fill in these as it gives important feedback on likes and dislikes at the club, what improvements that can be made.

 

This ​​is your opportunity to have your say and have some input on decisions that the committee will be making.  

Hardware Tools

Training Nights

Training in season. We train at The main oval and in the nets at

the Bunguyan Reserve. Senior Training will begin at 5:30 pm on

Tuesdays & Thursdays.  

Training Attire

The expectation is that we wear the clubs training top or white/

creme shirts to training. Players in the 1sts and 2nds are

expected to have a dark colored top as well for when they use

white training balls.

Availability

If you are unavailable please let us know. We will otherwise consider you available to play and you will be in the selection pool.  To let us know, there will be a availability poster on the wall, Facebook availability post by Tuesday of the game,  or you can let your captain know. ​​​​​​​

Player Sponsorship is a great way to support both the individual and the club.

There are two types of sponsorship, Senior Player Sponsorship and juniors player sponsorship, ​each sponsored player receives a free training shirt, proudly displaying their sponsor’s name on the back.

The sponsor receives advertising on your training shirt, rotation on the Advertising/TV screens inside the club,  invitation to sponsorsday & promotion as a player sponsor on the clubs facebook page and Website.

Our official online merchandise store is currently closed, but will open in June in preparation for the 2026/27 season.

If you're interested in ordering a playing cap, you vcan order them seperatly via email to the club.

Please note: There is a six-week  online delivery timeframe from the date of your order.

Selection

Selection occurs on Thursday nights after training. After sides are announced they are then shared in our facebook group and loaded up into Play HQ.

Merchandise

Membership

Membership is payable through the season, but we prefer if you can settle before the Christmas break. It is the players duty to  pay their subs, not the clubs job to chase them. Please find more detaills about membership for the 2026/27 season Here

Social Calendar

The club has a full social Calendar with regular events such as meet the coach day/season launch, Christmas Party, T20 game vs Vic Pol  and Presentation Night among others. Once finalised the Social Calendar will be found here.

Meals

The club has meals on Thursday selection nights and result nights of the Two Day competition. If we have scheduled a social function sometimes they are not on. We will inform you on our social media if this is the case.

Match Day Responsibilities

Match Day Responsibilities

The club has match day responsibilities checklist that are required to be completed for all grounds to make certain that the rooms and equipment are maintained in a manor that we all expect. Even though they fall fall under the captains responsibility to ensure they are done, It is every players responsibility help out.
